UK Border Force enforces customs regulations at all entry points. Post-Brexit rules have changed what you can bring from EU and non-EU countries. Travelers must declare goods over allowances and may be subject to inspection.
Entry Process
- 1Use eGates if eligible (UK/EU/EEA/Swiss passport holders)
- 2Otherwise, proceed to immigration desk for passport control
- 3Collect checked baggage
- 4Use Red Channel if you have goods to declare, Green Channel if not
- 5Exit to arrivals area
Prohibited Items
- Meat & Dairy from non-EUMost meat and dairy products from outside EU prohibited
- Plants & SeedsMany plants, bulbs, seeds require phytosanitary certificates
- Offensive WeaponsKnives, batons, stun guns, and other weapons prohibited
- Counterfeit GoodsFake branded goods will be seized
Duty-Free Allowances
- Alcohol42L beer + 18L wine + 4L spirits
- Tobacco200 cigarettes OR 100 cigarillos OR 50 cigars OR 250g tobacco
- Other GoodsΒ£390 value (air/sea) or Β£270 (other)
- CashMust declare Β£10,000+ (or equivalent)
