Singapore has one of the strictest customs regimes in the world. The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and Singapore Customs enforce these regulations. Travelers should pay special attention to restrictions on chewing gum, tobacco, alcohol, and drugs.
Entry Process
- 1Complete SG Arrival Card online (up to 3 days before arrival)
- 2Pass through immigration (automated lanes available for eligible travelers)
- 3Collect checked baggage
- 4Proceed through customs (Red or Green channel)
- 5Exit to arrivals hall
Prohibited Items
- Chewing GumImport is banned except for dental/nicotine gum with prescription
- E-cigarettes & VapesCompletely banned; possession can result in fines up to S$2,000
- Controlled DrugsStrict penalties including death penalty for trafficking
- Pirated MaterialsCounterfeit goods and pirated media are prohibited
Duty-Free Allowances
