The Netherlands, as an EU Schengen member, follows EU customs regulations. Dutch Customs (Douane) at Schiphol Airport is known for thorough inspections. Note that despite liberal domestic policies, drug importation is strictly illegal.
Entry Process
- 1Apply for ETIAS before travel (for visa-exempt nationals, starting 2025)
- 2Proceed to Schengen passport control (if arriving from non-Schengen)
- 3Collect checked baggage
- 4Use Green Channel (nothing to declare) or Red Channel (goods to declare)
- 5Exit to arrivals - Schiphol uses random inspections

Declaration Tips
